Bridging Nations with Light: SKYWORTH PV Marks 50 Years of China–Thailand Ties and Powers Southeast Asia’s Green Future

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, a significant milestone that not only symbolizes the deep bond of “brotherhood” between the two countries, but also injects renewed momentum into bilateral cooperation across energy, technology, and industry.

Against this meaningful backdrop, SKYWORTH PV made a striking appearance at the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW) 2025, held in Bangkok from July 2–4. Showcasing a wide range of core products and EPC service, SKYWORTH PV demonstrated strong technological capabilities in support of the dual-carbon goals and the deepening of China–Thailand collaboration in clean energy.

As one of the most influential clean energy exhibitions in Southeast Asia, ASEW drew the attention of energy professionals from across the globe. At Booth T1 in QSNCC, SKYWORTH PV presented an immersive, scenario-based display combined with hands-on product demonstrations, highlighting its expertise in residential PV storage systems and integrated EPC solutions — making it one of the key highlights of the exhibition.

Thailand's Renewable Energy Ambition Sets the Stage

In recent years, the Thai government has actively advanced energy transition efforts through continuous policy evolution. The Power Development Plan (PDP) 2018–2037 and the Alternative Energy Development Plan aimed for renewable energy to comprise 30% of the mix by 2037. However, the new PDP 2024–2037 draft, released in September 2024, raises this ambition even further — targeting 51% of power generation from renewables by 2037, with hydropower included.

As of 2023, Thailand had installed 3.2 GW of solar capacity, with an additional 2.17 GW added in that year alone — 85% of which came from the C&I sector, reflecting the country’s strong market potential and dynamic growth.
