SKYWORTH Solar Shows How Home Energy Fits into Smart Living at IFA 2026
BERLIN, September 4, 2026 — SKYWORTH Solar is exhibiting as part of the SKYWORTH Group booth at IFA 2026, showing how solar generation, battery storage and home energy management can become part of a more connected approach to everyday living.
IFA 2026's theme, "The future is now," focuses attention on connected technologies that are becoming part of daily life. For European households using solar, battery storage and dynamic electricity tariffs, the challenge is increasingly one of coordination: deciding when solar electricity should be used or stored, and when power should be purchased from the grid.
At Hall 23, Stand 101, SKYWORTH Solar brings this energy dimension into SKYWORTH Group's wider smart-living showcase. It presents a HEMS-integrated solution for homes with rooftop solar and battery storage, alongside SolaMate for apartment residents and other households without private rooftop access.
Making Household Energy Easier to Manage
For households with rooftop solar and battery storage, the challenge is no longer limited to generating electricity. The harder part is deciding how to use and store it around day-to-day household demand.
SKYWORTH Solar's HEMS automatically coordinates solar generation, battery storage and household loads. It brings these elements together so available solar energy can be used or stored around household demand, without requiring users to manage each part separately.
Support for dynamic electricity tariffs adds another layer of flexibility. The system can take changes in electricity prices into account when coordinating energy use, helping households make greater use of self-generated solar power and reduce their reliance on higher-priced grid electricity where tariff conditions allow.
“Within SKYWORTH Group’s vision for smart living, energy should be managed as intelligently as the devices people use every day,” said Qu Wanfei, Executive President of SKYWORTH Solar and General Manager of the Overseas Business Division. “By coordinating solar generation, battery storage and household energy use, SKYWORTH Solar aims to make home energy management a simpler and more natural part of everyday life.
Balcony Solar for Homes without Rooftop Access
Not every household has a private roof or the conditions for a full solar-and-storage installation. SolaMate gives apartment residents and other households without rooftop access a compact solar option for the home.
Designed for balconies and compact residential spaces, the railing-mounted system combines 900 Wp of DC capacity with 800 W of AC output. Once securely installed in line with the mounting instructions, its plug-and-play design provides a straightforward route into home solar. SolaMate is also available through Joybuy Germany.

At IFA, visitors can disassemble and reassemble SolaMate with guidance from the SKYWORTH Solar team, seeing how its components fit together and how the system works as a complete unit.

Participants can receive an exclusive Joybuy discount code, while eligible balcony solar orders placed during IFA come with a limited-edition custom SKYWORTH Solar building-block model. The booth also features a C&I scale model illustrating PV, energy storage and solar carport applications.
